Overall Satisfaction with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Interaction Studio

Our marketing department uses Evergage to focus on determining the top pages on our site, and leveraging those pages uniquely based on who is visiting our site. We can segment our visitors and pull out specific pages on our site that don't get much traffic - buried deep in the navigation - that may be of specific interest to those users but they won't have otherwise found them.

Pros

  • Analytics - even though we use Google analytics, the Evergage platform was better at segmentation and allowed me to understand what types of people were visiting our site.
  • Usability - it was very easy for me to learn how to use the platform.
  • Assistance with first campaign - they are with you every step of the way to make sure you leverage the platform as intended.

Cons

  • Communication - I haven't heard from my account manager in a while.
  • It's too early for us to determine this as we've been using the product for a mere 3 months.
  • Boomtrain
While I liked that Boomtrain also allowed you to customize newsletters, I was more impressed with the knowledge of the salespeople at Evergage as well as the price point for Evergage was more desirable. Evergage also had some interesting webinars to attend. The salesperson at Boomtrain was very pushy and almost too eager.
If an organization can afford the investment and has the staff to dedicate time to campaigns, it's totally worth the investment. An issue we are having internally is our staff is overloaded with tasks right now that we don't have the time to set up campaigns. However we should be more aggressive in the third quarter.
