Overall Satisfaction with EveryAction

We use EveryAction as our Database solution. We track our contacts and use [them] to send out emails as needed to our network. We currently have a database manager who is in charge of maintaining all of our records in EveryAction NGP and she works with me and others on best practices.

  • Tracks open rates and unsubscribes in an easy to access fashion
  • Allows for the use of templates in email creation to help streamline the process
  • Their gift tracking is very weak and leaves a lot to be desired
  • It can be difficult to integrate with other software solutions
  • They have data integrity issues that lead to people being unsubscribed without them knowing.
  • It has not helped with our fundraising performance at all.
  • It has helped to streamline our engagement a bit by allowing better tracking of communications.
  • The way events can be integrated into EveryActions saves lots of time
I was not involved with the implementation of EveryAction
We have found EveryAction to be very reliable when it comes to uptime and outages. From my experience, they have exceptional reliability. However, when it comes to their availability to deal with individual issues they are not very accommodating, sometimes tickets sit for days without answers. That can be both concerning and frustrating when you need a quick answer.
My specialty is fundraising and I can say that if one of your top priorities is good fundraising integration with any other platform or processor do not use EveryAction it is very difficult to integrate. However, if you are using EveryActions internal processing service that it is a pretty seamless process and easy going. The advocacy features are pretty solid, the only caveat being that EveryAction has a Democrat lean and is [known] in that community so if you are non-partisan it could be an issue.

Would you buy EveryAction again?

Constant Contact has a much easier-to-use email tool and building lists within the platform is easier. However, it has even fewer features as a CRM outside of the email function. So I would not recommend CC over EveryAction if you are planning to use the software for anything past database email management. If sending emails is your #1 concern use CC otherwise EveryAction is better.
I think if you are using it solely as an email client for sending out messages to large networks of people it has a good purpose. However, it lacks many features that a more established CRM would have. I think it can be part of the overall solution for a non-profit organization but not the entire one.
