F5 Distributed Cloud WAF has been incredibly useful for managing applications and the security of those applications in our environment.
Pros
- Restrict what apps have ingress/egress internet access
- Restrict what apps have internet access as a whole
Cons
- I think the interface and documentation may be more beginner friendly
- We have much more improved security posture
We have had much more success with securing our apps across all layers of our security stack.
Yes - We have distributed on Azure cloud, a bit of GCP and a bit of AWS.
Big IP has been a great help in giving visibility to our tools and what ingress/egress traffic they have.
