Overall Satisfaction with FACTS Student Information System (formerly RenWeb)

We use FACTS SIS as our database program for our infants through high school. It keeps track of all student and family data, allows us to communicate with our constituents, and allows for teacher grade books.

Pros

  • Gradebook.
  • Student family Information.
  • Communication.
  • Reports for labels or other needed info.

Cons

  • Easier ways to create reports.
  • Better labels of mother and father in certain screens where other family are listed.
  • Allowing attachments in Safari (works in Chrome).
  • Would like alerts when an email does not go through.
  • Saves time.
  • Keeps data centrally located.
  • Does cost to have.

I think it works great for schools, especially larger schools. It has a lot of features to keep everyone organized. The grade book is user friendly for parents and can give alerts to parents for whatever settings they choose. It's easy to send emails and texts to families. We also use it for billing.
