Overall Satisfaction with FACTS Student Information System (formerly RenWeb)

FACTS is being used by all the teachers in our school (K-12). We use it as a grade book, a lesson planner, an attendance ledger, and for most of our record keeping. It has been instrumental in getting our entire staff on the same page. It is a drastic improvement over our previous software.

  • Simple way to store and access health information, behavior reports, and family contact information.
  • We use FACTS in the residential aspect of our organization.
  • FACTS has a strong grade book application, but I wish it were simpler to go back and forth between adding assignments and adding grades.
  • The email (sharing) aspect of reports could be clearer.
  • The last thing that i have found frustrating about FACTS was how often the name changed. The transition from Renweb to Renweb 1 was atrocious, but that seems to be a struggle of the past.

I greatly prefer FACTS to the other grade book systems we have used. I think it is far superior to Blackbaud, Renweb, and Edmodo. It is the simplest and most efficient system that we have used. We are so excited about the vast number of options we have at our fingertips with FACTS.

It is extremely well suited for a school, even for an organization like our school which is both a school and a residential facility. FACTS is diverse enough to meet multiple needs within our multifaceted organization. I don't think that it would as useful in a traditional business setting. It seems best suited for an educational institution.
