FigJam Professional

Overall Satisfaction with FigJam

When ideating and developing UI in games, we needed a tool that would allow us to share ideas quickly without sending photoshop files around. FigJam did that for us.
  • One file, auto updated, no need to get latest
  • Easy to preview
  • Lack of client is benefit to some (not me)
  • There is a lack of proper desktop client opposed to tools like xD or Sketch.
  • It feels floaty and not very precise, so to me, it feels like I am interacting with a beta software and this service is like 5 years old.
  • Due to its web-first design, it is not taking advantage of peripherals like Apple Pencil sufficiently.
  • Offline work is a poor experience in my opinion.
  • Ease of use
  • Accessible on any software
  • I believe that creating professional projects inside a web app feels amateurish.
If Sketch was on Windows with an app on par with their Mac app, I would never even look at FigJam. Sketch has local work sorted, accessible and scaleable, good collaborative features, and accessibility features, too. It feels modern and polished, with actual files you can revisit and not just online cloud equivalents. Available as one purchase or subscription, it is literally the best deal in design tools. I used FigJam because I had to, but dreamed of returning to Sketch all the time.
