Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The software is used to track such things as inspections that are conducted on employees, for compliance to standards. It is also used to submit forms for different requests that require approval, or disbursement of funds.

Compared to other programs that do similar tasks, this software fails in every aspect

Cons

Outdated software, didn't keep up with industry software.
Printing nightmare, never gives what you're looking for on the first try
Sorting, and finding information is mainly an experiment, unless you already know what your looking for

Return on Investment

Could not be measured as an investment for reducing costs or improving business objectives

Alternatives Considered

Any software suite that has database functionality. i.e. MS Access, InfoPath

Other Software Used

PowerDMS, Microsoft Access

Likelihood to Recommend

This review is absolutely ridiculous. I am a 25 year user of FileMaker software and the person who wrote this review acts as if this is his first time using a computer. FileMaker, owned by Apple, is not outdated whatsoever. The software prints very well (on the first try) and has an extremely powerful multi-search function. Either the reviewer never used the software or is completely unqualified to make such a review. I would not be surprised if the reviewer has ulterior motives. Very disappointing review.

I agree with you Michael, this review simply doesn't sum up the software I have been using for the last 7 years. It sounds to me like the original poster has had a very poorly created Filemaker system that he has struggled to work with, and instead of seeking out someone to fix it, has persevered getting more and more frustrated with the shortcomings. Such a shame as the software is so very adaptable, slick and efficient. I am happy to offer my services to take a look at the app that is being used. If I can fix it in a few hours, then there will be no charge. James

Very nicely said, James. You certainly have more tact and courtesy then I do. FileMaker software has improved the quality of my life exponentially and I was very sad to hear someone criticize the software in a way that just did not make sense. Best of luck to you both.
