Overall Satisfaction with Frame.io

We use Frame.io for team collaboration on video selection and editing for e-learning courses. Webinars are frequently edited or shortened to be used on our LMS webpages. Subject matter experts can all weigh in on which portions of video need to be highlighted, or removed, and then the necessary edits can be applied. We appreciate the version feature so that we can see the previous edits (when needed).

Pros

  • Allowing cross collaboration between teams
  • Easy navigation/user interface
  • Easy commenting and timestamped comments

Cons

  • Any option to incorporate translation features would be great.
  • Positive impact on onboarding customers with visual demos of the process
  • Positive impact on cross-functional team collaborations and reviews so that the messaging is correct and on brand.
Intuitive interface, easy functionality to add comments, excellent features to see versioning and comment history, and real-time collaborating saves time and efforts.
We utilize both Synthesia and Frame.io for different projects. Frame.io we use for editing actual video content that has been captured. Primary use is for customer training and education.
We use Synthesia for short-form video production, primarily for software screen recording demonstrations, and for translation functionality (which is excellent).

Excellent for editing down raw video captures of educational webinars. Questions from the audience can sometimes be too case specific, and would not be a value-add to a posted recording, and sometimes the presenter needs a topic to be edited down for time as well. Frame.io is great for allowing teams to give their feedback on the video so that everyone has input on which portions are most valuable/should be removed.
