- Self-Hosted & Enterprise-Ready
- Kubernetes & Cloud-Native Integration
Cons
- Integration Ecosystem
- Performance at Scale
- Built-in Security Scanning – Not Always Practical
- Centralized DevSecOps Platform
- High Infrastructure & Maintenance Costs
- Learning Curve for Students & Researchers
GitLab’s security features help us catch issues early by scanning code, dependencies, and containers. This makes our projects safer, keeps us aligned with GDPR/HIPAA, and gives us more confidence in the quality of our work, even if scans sometimes slow things down.
GitLab’s continuous integration has made it much easier for teams to share code and collaborate on projects. Every time code is pushed, it’s automatically tested and validated, which helps catch errors early and avoids conflicts when merging work from different contributors. This has reduced validation problems, saved time during reviews, and given our teams more confidence that the code in the shared repository is stable and reliable.
