Overall Satisfaction with Global Shop Solutions ERP

We needed a unified solution to run our shop, collect costs, track employee time, and manage sales orders and shipping. Global Shop Solutions ERP provides that platform. Using Global Shop Solutions ERP's capabilities, we've been able to reduce the amount of time needed for things as varied as payroll and cost report. And using Global Shop Solutions ERP helps eliminate inadvertent errors.

Pros

  • track time and material costs on jobs
  • do payroll without having to pay an expensive payroll provider
  • provide a smooth path from customer order to invoicing and payment

Cons

  • I'm getting old, so ways to change (increase) the fonts on more screens would be much appreciated.
  • payroll went from one employee working for 2 days to that same employee working 15 minutes a day to verify that day's records and then 1 to 1 1/2 hours on the day we actually process payroll
  • the ability to make links to stored documents has made record retrieval so much easier
  • like payroll, job costing has been much quicker, and more accurate since it's not done manually
Global Shop Solutions ERP has been working hard to upgrade their software to be easier and easier to use - dashboards for easy viewing and reporting, screens where an entire task (e.g. SO entry, invoicing) can be done on one page, instead of having to page through multiple screens, and Global Shop Solutions ERP provides us access to our own data tables so we can write quick-and-dirty reports for ourselves.
Global Shop Solutions ERP is much more flexible and adaptable.

I love that Global Shop Solutions ERP is more accessible than many bigger (and thus more locked-down) ERP systems. This means that I can quickly write custom reports from our data tables without having to pay someone else to do it.
