Google Chrome - It's right for you
Overall Satisfaction with Google Chrome
Google Chrome is used by all staff members in my organization to provide an up to date and secure operating system that is fully integrated with any apps and services pushed out to them. By not being vulnerable to viruses and malware, we can ensure our organization's staff do not have to worry about not being able to access their data.
Pros
- Security: Google Chrome is constantly updated to resolve any interoperability and or security issues.
- Full App Integration: Apps and services can be quickly and easily pushed out to all users. Uniformity across Chrome ensures a repeatable user experience.
- Portability and consistent environment: By hosting all services and apps remotely, users can have access to their information and communication from almost any device that has internet connectivity.
Cons
- The administration side of Google Chrome has continued to improve but still needs more features.
- Memory utilization can continue to be tweaked.
- Improved ROI: By prolonging the life of older devices, we are able to put off upgrades to hardware for longer periods of time.
- Tighter controls allow for better security.
- Shared access to resources makes it easier for everyone to collaborate in a timely fashion
Google Chrome is a platform that Microsoft has been trying to catch up to for years. Despite Microsoft having the initial vision of everyone being connected and having a PC many years ago, Google Chrome has truly helped to solidify that vision into reality. They have also made it much more accessible to everyone.
