Overall Satisfaction with Gumlet

We use Gumlet as main OVP (Online Video Platform). It provides smooth video streaming on global networks. It's HLS output enables usage of different players. The main usage is video management and delivery.

Pros

  • HLS Output (.M3U8)
  • Encryption (DRM etc)
  • Adaptive Bit Rate

Cons

  • There is no Playlist feature support yet
  • There is no Play-out feature support yet
  • White Labeling of the platform (for users . contributors) is not avaialble
  • HLS streaming
  • Global CDN
  • Encryption
  • Enabled global reach with video content
  • Protected video delivery
Vimeo's upload restrictions on lower tiers is ridiculous and also their high-end functions are very expensive (encryption etc). Gumlet provides it all in a fraction of the cost comparing to Vimeo and with even more feature set.

Gumlet is well suited for Videos Management and CDN / streaming purposes. It is less appropriate for use with customers / editors / contributors (or as agency) since it doesn't support any white labeling option.
