Overall Satisfaction with Heroku

We use Heroku to deploy everything from interactive scientific visualizations to our Slack team's signup page. Heroku makes it really easy to prototype and launch a product in minutes.

Pros

  • Easy-to-use commandline tools
  • Third-party integrations (e.g. Github)
  • Reliable servers

Cons

  • Learning curve is fairly steep
  • Better build-packs (esp for python)
  • Option to use a GPU server
  • Better customer engagement
  • Docker
Heroku seemed easier to use and more compatible with Github projects.
Heroku is best for prototyping.
