Reliable Hardware, Poor Support, I Miss SoftLayer

Score 5 out of 10
Vetted Review
Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers
We are using Bare-Metal Servers to host web applications and REST APIs. We also use them for deployment and staging environments.
Pros
- Good customization
- Fast connectivity
- Reliable hardware
Cons
- Expensive compared to other providers.
- Lack of included priority support.
- Admin portal is slow and difficult to use.
- Basic support response is extremely slow.
- Costly product offerings
- Reliable hardware
- Reliable network performance
It is on par with other server systems.
I picked IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers because I was doing business with Softlayer before IBM acquired them. Unfortunately, the level of service has declined sharply since the acquisition.
When budget is a priority, I use AWS. When I need raw power and no support, I use IBM.
