Overall Satisfaction with IBM InfoSphere QualityStage

QS is used in the service area. I have implemented it in companies where your business is data. And with it, we have achieved very good results.
Addresses errors with address standardization, user unification, data cleansing of phones, addresses, etc.

  • Standardization and normalization of data
  • Integration with DataStage
  • You need to learn the language of pattern to create rules
  • Must be thorough for the definition of the rule, because it can give you unexpected results
  • The data quality improve an 80%
  • We could show all the areas where the issues were.
It is a robust tool. It can be integrated with several DB. It works very well with DS. You can create your rules, and define the percentage of standardization or normalization
Good for issues with data quality, and instances where you need to add controls and rules to load the data. Also if you have a large amount of data.

At the begining Quality Stage could be integrated in a very easy way to DataStage. And the variety of connectors to differents DB (Stages).
Nothing at all. Quality Stage is very established and robust tool. There aren't many resources in BA with knowledge about it.
