Overall Satisfaction with IBM Planning Analytics

I am a Consultant in CPM developing over the years in TM1. We also used TM1 for POCs and more.
In the company we use it sometimes for internal tasks. IBM Planning Analytics will solve problems of information integration and will eliminate having tons of Excel spreadsheets in local environments with macros that are not dynamic.
  • Manage large volumes of information.
  • The interfaces are near to Excel or Web apps.
  • Some problems with performance due to feeders.
  • The user interface can be improved, no major changes since the first versions.
  • More flexibility.
  • Less time on budgets consolidation.
I have not used any other products deeply. The only products I have only done a quick test where AnaPlan and Jedox, but not deeply enough to have a full comparison and give further detail on this matter. Also I have used Excel spreadsheets as a user and as a developer but TM1 is superior in any sense.
IBM Planning Analytics still has to improve on configurations and user interface. I have opened PMRs in the past with previous versions of TM1 and the response was to wait to next release and so on. It needs to have a better way to implement new functionalities in a quick way as the market is evolving fast.
