Overall Satisfaction with IBM Planning Analytics
I have used IBM Planning Analytics in my organization to help organize data sets. Trying to plan future events, this allows my organization to have a greater understanding on what it is likely to occur. The scope is not very large, roughly 30-50 people working together. People from three continents and 7 time zones.
Pros
- Expected data for the outcome
- Potential variables to the outcome
- Gives company a better understanding of what our company can achieve.
Cons
- Implementation
- More training
- Allow learning through application easier
- saving time with automated systems
- quick of use
- ease of implementation
The capabilities of IBM Planning Analytics that I find to be the most valuable is the help it allows for forecasting data points. This allows us to save so much time and money. Workers can now spend more time doing what they do best. IBM Planning Analytics is vital to our small start up to flourish.
The one thing that IBM Planning Analytics capabilities allows the company to do now that it could not do before is large scale forecast. We have found the expected results to being very close. Within 98% accurate. This was our first true AI product that we integrated and it will not be the last.
It is truly hard to compare both products. I like both products and would suggest choosing one but trying both. Some things are better through IBM Planning Analytics and some things are better through the IBM Analytics Engine. Ultimately I believe that IBM Planning Analytics has the slightest edge over Analytics engine.
