Overall Satisfaction with IBM SevOne

We are using IBM SevOne as our network and infrastructure performance monitoring and reporting tool. It helps us collect, analyze, and visualize performance data across our network devices, servers, and applications in real time. The platform is integrated with our IT operations to ensure continuous visibility into the health of our infrastructure.

Pros

  • Monitoring routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and virtualized/cloud resources.

Cons

  • Integration with ITSM tools for automated incident creation, and with capacity management processes for forecasting.
  • Reduces manual effort of data collection and analysis, freeing teams to focus on resolution and optimization.
Enables accurate SLA reporting and compliance tracking.
Reduced MTTR (Mean Time to Repair): Speeds up root cause analysis by providing granular, time-series performance data.
May lack some of the advanced analytics, big-data scale, depth of historical performance, or baseline anomaly detection that SevOne provides. UI / advanced features are less polished. Datadog is strong in cloud-native, full-stack observability; good dashboards; good integrations; strong for newer / dynamic infrastructure.
