Overall Satisfaction with IBM Z
IBM Z is being used by the entire organization to support everything from package tracking, to billing, and even airline operations. IBM Z provides a high availability solution. Minimal to no downtime and high transactional throughput is mandatory.
- High availability with no downtime.
- Concurrent software and firmware.
- Performance to support millions of transactions a day.
- Overall hardware Cost is expensive.
- Overall software cost is expensive.
- Personnel with Z technical skills are hard to acquire.
- Personnel costs and Labor costs are lower on Z.
- Uptime and MTBF are much better on Z saving applications outages and support costs.
- Z Server saves on Data center costs due to server sprawl.
IBM Z is our primary System of Record and, with many other platforms, of accessing data on the Z Server. There is no other comparable platform
