Overall Satisfaction with IBM Z

IBM Z is used throughout the mainframe department. It addresses the availability, reliability and performance need for this ever-changing IT technology.

Pros

  • Reliability - the IBM Z platform is very reliable and can handle millions of transactions without suffering performance.

Cons

  • No comment
  • The IBM Z allowed us to go from a 10 way sysplex to an 8 way sysplex which in turn reduced our cost.
No other product have been used or evaluated.
The IBM Z is well suited for platforms with high volumes of transactions. Most big banks use the mainframe (IBM Z) for their daily processes due to high demands for faster and quicker response time.
