Overall Satisfaction with Infosec Skills

Infosec Skills is being used to verify user ability to understand security principles and provides a baseline skill set to work from.

Pros

  • Strong foundation of security principles.
  • Detailed terminology.
  • Real world examples on implementing security.

Cons

  • Provide an overall cheat-sheet of topic outline.
  • Supplemental flash card of knowledge topics.
  • Provides a rapid certification process.
  • Expensive process for employees to pay for out-of-pocket.
Have not used any other products.
It is a solid fundamental course, though a lot of the information is rarely used by a majority of the IT field in their daily job.
Infosec Skills is well suited for corporate environments where employees need to be certified in a short time period.
