Overall Satisfaction with Keap (formerly Infusionsoft)

  • Infusionsoft is highly effective for small business growth because it automates many of the processes that would have to be manually repeated with traditional software.
  • Infusionsoft will assist you in following up with your leads and customers via a string of automated emails. Email deliverability is excellent compared to other providers.
  • You can segment your database in a highly effective manner so that prospects, leads and customers only receive the information that they are looking for.
  • If you have companies that are interested in selling your products/services for a commission, Infusionsfot provides a highly organized process for accomplishing this. Your affiliates will be able to track their leads, sales, and the amount of traffic they are sending to your website.
  • They provide a simplistic method of creating a shopping cart on your site so you can begin to offer online products/services.
  • Lead management is handled efficiently via online reminders, the ability to score leads, the ability for management to monitor and track the lead through the pipeline (i.e. from when it first comes in to when the sale is consummated or there is no sale).
  • You have the ability to perform most basic accounting functions within your Infusionsoft account, and the rest can be linked to your account through one of their add-on services.
  • The email builder is an absolute disaster and no signs of improvement are on the horizon. Be prepared for numerous bugs if you use it. Although it's a pain I would recommend working with one of their partners who focus solely on email templates. The cost will be worth forgoing the pain you experience in trying to deal with the problems that arise.
  • Back in 2008, 98% of our business was conducted offline. We recognized that a change needed to be made and we shifted our business model to the point that we are now generating 25% of our revenue online. While there were numerous other factors at play (website redesign, social media, new employees) the primary reason that we were successful in this transition was Infusionsoft
  • As a small company, we do not have the time or the resources to have a significant inside sales force to sell our products and services. Infusionsoft's powerful follow up processes act as a sales rep.
  • Through segmentation, tracking, and lead scoring features we are able to identify our most profitable leads and customers.
Act was another consideration, but the person who we consulted with felt that due to our business model and need to grow through online marketing, Infusionsoft was a better fit as an "all-in-one" solution.
If you are looking to invest in a software system that is going to do everything for you and involves no thought, setup or follow through then Infusionsoft is not the right fit for you. But if you are serious about growing your business and willing to put forth the time and effort to get the most out of Infusionsoft then I would highly recommend it as an all-in-one marketing software.

We could not have the business model we have today without a powerful marketing tool like Infusionsoft backing us up.

Evaluating Keap and Competitors

Microsoft Excel, Arrow, numerous word programs

Keap Implementation

At the time it took way too long to get us up to speed, however, as previosuly stated, Infusionsoft is much better equipped to assist in this area than they were 4 years ago.
  • Vendor implemented
  • Professional services company
We hired an outside consultant who initially suggested Infusionsoft and then helped with implementation. Once completed, Infuisonsoft did assist in a few minor areas.

Keap Training

  • Online training
  • In-person training
  • Self-taught
The user conferences are without question the best marketing programs I have ever attended. A must for any user of the software.
The online training is excellent (now). When we first signed on it was almost non-existent. They have online videos and hold webinars for almost every area of the software.
Absolutely not. It took us a great deal of time to adapt to using Infusionsoft. It is slightly more user friendly than when we signed up, but the majority of people will likely need strong assistance to excel in using it.

Keap Support

No - Their support was not good when we first signed up 4 years ago, but they have made significant strides in this area over the years. They now offer phone support, live chat, and the ability to open up a case online.

Since we were a customer in the earlier stages of the business we do have a dedicated rep we can call upon, but it does not cost us extra. However, this is not standard.
Most of the support staff is friendly and knowledgeable about Infusionsoft. Every once in awhile you may encounter as unpleasant situation, but if you stick with it (i.e. follow up) it will be resolved.

Using Keap

It is easier to use (and implement) than when we first signed on four years ago; however, there is still a learning curve, particularly for those who are inexperienced with database marketing.

Don't buy into it expecting someone to hold your hand, but they will guide and support you to where you need to go.

Keap Reliability

There have been few outages since we became a customer, and when they have technical issues they are typically resolved rapidly.
Lag time is almost non-existent. You can complete multiple processes very rapidly as long as you have a computer that processes quickly.

Integrating Keap

  • Microsoft Outlook
The goal of this integration is to make it so that any email sent through Outlook will be recorded within Infusionsoft. The problem was that the program did and still does have a lot of bugs.
  • Subscription DNA, which manages our monthly subscription service.
Not currently. They offer their own subscription service (CustomerHub), but it did not have the functionality for what are needs are. We would prefer to have these systems integrated in the future.

Relationship with Keap (formerly Infusionsoft)

The pricing structure is vastly different now than when we first signed up, so not really. The only thing I will say is that they are willing to make concessions in some area to bring you on board as a customer.
