Overall Satisfaction with InterSystems IRIS
We create ERP software primarily for the millwork industry. We need a database that performs well whether our customer has five end-users or a thousand. InterSystems IRIS (and before it, Cache) scale well both in performance and cost. It provides everything you need to create your own applications, including plenty of options for interoperability with other systems and built-in business intelligence tools. It is a multimodel database in which the various models are always synchronized. Even using its own prepackaged IDE, you are free to develop in ObjectScript, Python, SQL, javascript, and Java. For object-oriented programmers like me, it's very easy to pick up and learn everything you need to know.
