The ion Experience from a Low Level User (Mainly reporting)
Overall Satisfaction with ion interactive, by ScribbleLive
Ion is used throughout our company to create, test, and fine-tune landing pages for dozens of clients in different verticals. Everyone uses it in some capacity. The developers focus on building pages, reviewing performance, and implementing change while the media team prefers to use it for reporting to track our performance in paid media campaigns. The largest weakness tends to be the often cumbersome reporting, but we're generally able to pull all the data we need to tell a full story.
Pros
- Robust landing page building tool with reporting capabilities.
- Streamlined organization when using multiple clients and campaigns.
- Flexible build tools to make exactly what you need.
Cons
- Cumbersome reporting.
- Limitations with some popular CMSs (Shopify comes to mind).
- The UI could be more user-friendly.
- We're able to spin-up landing pages incredibly quick.
- We're able to report on performance metrics and suggest improvements using data our clients can understand.
- We've developed API tools to pass collected information from ion to our data warehouse.
I have never used the customer service purposely. I do know we had a bit of trouble using ion with Shopify while maintaining our e-commerce tracking capabilities. We tried reaching out to their customer service, but unfortunately, they revealed that was just an inherent limitation to ion, and there was no workaround.
I have not used any other platforms like ion.
