Overall Satisfaction with Kendo UI

We are using Kendo UI to create medium-size web applications, both Independent and integrated in SharePoint Solutions. The most used controls are around data entry, grids are used much less and Charts are only experimented with. The main drive to use the Kendo Suite is to improve user Interface and make the applications look better and function faster.
  • Quality controls, for example the text editor is very good, has a lot of functionality and supports some processing to the text copy/pasted from word. This is very useful in an enterprise environment.
  • Provides support for different file upload scenarios
  • Good support.
  • Integration in responsive design is not easy
  • Difficult to create custom templates (with corporate colors/text Format, etc)
  • Documentation is not very good
  • We have improved the speed of our web pages
  • Some effort was necessary to learn to use the suite
We selected Kendo UI because we were using Telerik controls already, and Kendo was included in our license. Other than that we have found the package mature enough to support our workflows which include some tricky scenarios: file upload, text editor, grids with grouping and filtering, server-side paging. We have found Kendo UI works well for our scenarios but it could not replace other JavaScript libraries where we use simple animations (for tutorials, nothing fancy)
Verw well suited for data entry forms and grids in a normal desktop screen. Not so good for mobile access.
