Overall Satisfaction with Kendo UI

We use it for prototyping and for small integration applications to allow viewing and editing of simple datasets.

Pros

  • Fast development of simple applications
  • Rich component set, easy to style and skin
  • Self contained
  • Easy to deploy

Cons

  • Documentation needs improvement
  • Examples are often too simple
  • "Data" manipulation looks old style if compared for example with angular
  • Improves prototyping speed
  • Reduces the cost of testing
  • Requires short training time
We find it useful for prototyping and to create small data entry/manipulation web apps. The learning curve is shallow for basic tasks with the basic components.
