Overall Satisfaction with Progress Kendo UI
We develop products for resale that include web-based UIs. Kendo UI is used in the UIs and dashboards to provide attractive, responsive, and performant controls.
- Charts - create interactive charts that can render as SVG or Canvas
- Templating is built in and can be used in most controls to affect the final output
- Drawing API along with the VISUAL property of most chart elements lets the user customize charts easily
- Rendered SVG chart elements should have assignable classes or ids, etc. so they can be easily selected and manipulated outside of the kendo UI code (e.g. with D3).
- Object model is pretty intuitive so learning curve is fairly short and developers are productive quickly.
- Allowed for quicker development of dashboards as all the basic controls and charts were already available.
- Price of the suite is reasonable.
Kendo UI and Ignite UI have similar features sets, but at the time of evaluation 2 years ago, I enjoyed working with Kendo UI more, and felt more productive with it.
