Love the Kendo UI toolset from Telerik
Overall Satisfaction with Kendo UI
We have a suite of applications that we have built on campus to help manage both internal business processes as well as manage some of the interfaces we have between various cloud platforms. We use the Telerik tools in our web user interfaces to improve our user experience because it has the features we need to meet our business requirements.
Pros
- Very nice, professional user experience.
- Native Javascript (standard based).
- Flexible and allows for customization.
Cons
- Steep learning curve.
- Getting out of the box too far on some solutions can be a challenge.
- Sometimes code examples for very complex issues can be hard to find.
- We have built some very nice user interfaces which have improved our overall user experience.
- We have maintained standard development technologies (javascript and .Net).
- After the knowledge base has been built up, we've been able to maintain them quickly and add features as new requirements are added.
Other products we considered were GrapeCity, OnSen, Sencha touch as well as creating our own toolset. We landed on Kendo because it was flexible and allowed us to provide the features our customers needed after we got through the initial learning curve needed to learn the tool and be proficient with development and maintenance.
