Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)

We use Kofax as a full functioning alternative to Adobe. We use it throughout our paperless administration of documentation.
  • Less expensive than Adobe.
  • Fully functioning.
  • Integrates well with other programs.
  • More security options that are easier to use.
  • Cost savings.
  • Paperless implementation.
It is easy to use... some of the options are not real intuitive, but if you Google the problem, you get find an answer pretty quick.
Kofax does everything we used to use Adobe for. We love that you pay once and there is no licensing for forced updates.
Haven't used support. We generally Google our questions. Kofax could use a more expansive knowledge base.

We really like the text editor; it's the feature we use most often. The other feature we would like to see is a function to combine multiple documents into one PDF and then automatically delete the individual documents. Going back and manually deleting them is time consuming.
It is very well suited for a paperless office.

It would be better if Kofax made it clear that the old version of Kofax needed to be uninstalled before the new copy of Kofax was downloaded on computer upgrades
