Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
I use it for converting legal documents and electronic discovery into PDFs. A key component is the ability to create bates numbers across multiple documents. It does everything Adobe Acrobat Pro DC does for a fraction of the cost. I also utilize the program to create form templates for work, and for my notary public practice. I am very pleased with the return on investment.
- Creating and adding Bates numbers to discovery documents.
- Creating fill-in-the-blank form templates for colleagues to use.
- Converting other document formats into PDFs.
- Redacting sensitive documents for document productions.
- It takes a long time to load up.
- Make adding text boxes easier to PDF documents.
- Cost savings when using it for litigation document productions. This is very important when you are a government entity and have access to very limited resources.
- Return on Investment for my notary public practice. It allows me to create form templates of legal documents for clients.
The program is easy to use. My experience with organizing and preparing client documents for a document production was a pleasant and satisfying time saver. Even when I had to add documents and renumber most of the documents, Power PDF Advance worked its magic with only minor time addition. The attorney was very pleased.
- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance), AccessData Summation and from Exterro
The "Bang For The Buck" clearly sets Power PDF Advance apart from the other programs.

I have two specific uses for the program. One is for organizing and preparing document in litigation for document production. This program is smoother and faster than Adobe Pro, and is better at batch processing of Bates Numbers across multiple files.
Second use is to create "fill-in-the-blank" form templates so colleagues and clients can quickly complete the forms on their electronic device instead of writing in the response via hand. The time savings alone quickly justifies the small investment in Power PDF Advance.
