Overall Satisfaction with Kofax Power PDF (formerly Nuance)
We use it across the company. It is a great help in comparing contract document revisions and saving time as well the editing capabilities are amazing. You can even edit PDF files converted from Cad. These were the main reasons why we pulled the trigger and started using Kofax [Power PDF].
- Document comparison.
- Editing pdf files converted from CAD.
- Measuring dimensions and distances on scaled drawings.
- Adding or editing text - Switching on off from editing mode needs improvement.
- Menus shall be more detailed on helping the individual functions.
- Time saving on revised document comparisons.
- Time saving on CAD drawing editing functionality.
It is easy to use, however switching on and off from editing mode needs improvement.
I used free versions of the other software and none of them were having the wide functionality like Kofax [Power PDF] was able to offer.

Document comparison - the amount of time it saves us is tremendously valuable. We can have our team spend their time on more value-added assignments while leaving the comparison to Kofax [Power PDF]. Being able to edit pdf files that reconverted from CAD drawings. This is exceptionally amazing! You can edit each and every single line or shape without going back to the original CAD drawing and do small editing and corrections. Again, another venue for saving time.
