Overall Satisfaction with Linode

We use Linode as qa/staging and production servers for the engineering department to support our products. It serves as a backend platform for all of our apps.

Pros

  • Easily to maintain

Cons

  • More datacenters across the globe, south america really needs one
  • Others OS flavors
  • More ips available
  • Scalability
  • Easy development
  • Low budget consumption
The billing process is way easier with Linode. Linode's servers feel way faster and have good connectivity with places we really need. Stack scripts to help building up servers are another great feature alongside their forum and Q&A.
Support is very personalized and is very quickly as well, giving us the confidence we need to partner up with them.
Every time I need their support is a pleasant experience. It doesn't matter the subject, they will try their best to help with less friction as possible.
Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2)
Honestly, [Linode] suits very well for every case I can think of. It can serve you a very cheap server very cheap and you can scale it later when needed. The only thing during scaling, there is a down time and possibly a migration that needs to happen but nothing that can't be manageable.
