Linode ticks almost all the checkboxes you need to host modern applications and systems. Price, scalability and customer service is the main reason for me to use Linode. We use Google Cloud and Azure for certain things, but when it comes to VPS Linode is way better. We have used Digital Ocean and similar in the past but always go back to Linode.
Customer support with Linode is excellent, even for small customers like us. I have never been disappointed with them.
The flexibility that comes with using Linode lets you bundle services or break them free to own instances that save both time and money for us and our customers.
Everything has to be online all the time and Linode provides that. If there is a need for maintenance they let you know in advance so you can easily plan for this without downtime.
Linode is well suited for everything from prototypes, proof of concept to large-scale applications where uptime and availability are key. Linode ticks almost all the checkboxes, but if you need managed databases or serverless infrastructure, then Linode might not be the best choice.
