Overall Satisfaction with Linode
Linode is being used in my organisation for data services to help other businesses grow. It solves software problems related to cloud data. Linode is a VPS provider which has low cost fixed price servers paid on a monthly basis.
Pros
- Reliable.
- Fast.
- Efficient.
Cons
- Less maintenance unless essential - all my servers upgraded and downtime this year.
- Bigger and more storage.
- Hugely positive.
- 1000% ROI.
- Business doesn't run without it.
I have used Amazon Web Services (AWS) before this and both are reliable. AWS is just as easy to use, but the costs are harder to understand, because they are not fixed, they are dependent on usage. If you have a low usage but an abnormal process the costs can spiral without your knowledge, but with Linode there is a fixed cost so this cannot happen. Furthermore, if your usage exceeds a certain threshold over a period of time then you are notified by email, this saved me many times when the CPU usage was at 100% or the traffic was acting in an abnormal way. AWS also has similar monitoring, but for ease of use, Linode wins hands-down as this is automatically implemented.
