Overall Satisfaction with Marketo Marketing Automation

  • Marketo enables us to nurture our marketing database from "prospect" to "Automated Qualified Lead"
  • As with any software product, Marketo's software has a specific taxonomy that took some time to get used to. (e.g. what's a "program" vs. a "campaign")
  • We have been able to directly integrate marketing's lead management process with sales' opportunity management process in SF.com. The transparency enabled by this integration is highly valuable.
  • Still looking at more quantifiable metrics at this point.
Our system was in significant disarray when I joined the organization due to poor set-up by non-Marketo consultants. The Marketo support staff went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out and get us back on track. . .without charging any consulting fees for this additional work. Thumbs up for Marketo's customer support and consulting team for making this extra effort for us!

Using Marketo Marketing Automation

Marketo is certainly powerful and valuable, which is a big reason why we'll most likely renew; however, I also need to mention that the switching costs associated with changing marketing automation solutions at this point do factor into this decision process.
