Overall Satisfaction

  • Marketo is great for managing email nurturing programs using the Engagement module. Easy to add/remove things from flows, have different flows for different personas, measure performance.
  • I love success path analyzer in Marketo - very easy way to visualize the lead flow and where they are in the funnel.
  • Lead management and deduping is EASY! Automatically syncs to the CRM in the background, smart list functionality - can't beat that.
  • I'd like to see tips in various sections of Marketo, especially with new product additions and updates (i.e. in RCA).
  • I'd like to be able to save various types of reports in one folder (vs. having to save each type in it's own folder).
  • It would be nice to have more pre-made templates in the instance to be able to customize.
  • Faster lead conversion.
  • Easier way of measuring marketing impact on opportunities.
I see no reason to switch away. It integrates well with the other systems and tools we are using.
I would suggest doing a side by side comparison based on their required features, reading reviews about their top few picks, discussing in LinkedIn groups.

The most important factor was product usability and interface.
I would use the same process over and over again. I had a whole Excel matrix built out with side by side feature comparisons.
