  • Marketo Sales Insight

Overall Satisfaction

  • Ability to set up sophisticated work flows to nurture leads over time (lead scoring, drip campaigns, etc).
  • Ability to track website activity across multiple properties & report on the traffic over time.
  • The ability to sync with the larger SFDC database, keep information as up to date as possible.
  • The reporting capabilities are pretty basic (tough to customize reports).
  • Depending on size of a database, there can be a lag time in how often the CRMs are synced.
  • Marketo only provides a limited number of fonts in email & landing page templates.
  • I am not the final decision maker responsible for evaluating whether ROI was sufficient for renewal, but in terms of my experience with the tool, I'd say that Marketo is extremely beneficial for my role as a Marketer. I am constantly learning / researching new ways to use the tool, both to increase the capabilities of my department but also the company as a whole.
  • The Marketo "Community" provides a wealth of knowledge - how to articles & videos, common questions, a forum for making suggestions to the product team, etc.
  • Marketo provides visibility into communication with multiple responsible parties attached to marketing sourced opportunities.
  • The time saved of previously manual tasks automated by the system is extremely helpful!
As I mentioned, I am not the primary decision maker that would renew but the tool was been extremely useful for my group but if renewal was solely based on my decision, I would definitely renew.
Do you have custom objects in your primary CRM system that Marketo will have trouble syncing with? Do you want to automatically sync your Marketo instance with your primary CRM? Do the benefits of not syncing the two systems out weight the costs?

How large is your primary database? Depending on how large, will there be a lag time in syncing that will cause issues in timely communication?

Does your team use both leads & contacts (SFDC users only)?
