Overall Satisfaction with Marketo

We are a B2B marketing agency. We use Marketo for a number of different clients to send emails, build nurture programs, host web forms and landing pages. Marketo is mostly used by our demand central department and front end development team, but some members of client services use Marketo for analytics. Marketo was our top pick for a MAP because we are able to customize and build all of our templates from scratch and we can easily make landing pages and emails responsive.
  • Marketo's premier support engineers are very responsive and knowledgeable of Marketo. They can usually figure out most of your problems within a week.
  • Marketo Smart Lists can take a long time to load if you use complex filters.
  • Marketo does not allow you to set prioritization for nurture programs.
  • Triggers are only used as ORs instead of having the capability to choose And, OR.
  • Product Launches
  • Cross-Sell
  • Customer Service
  • Lead Management
  • Prospecting / New Business
It depends on our clients, we do a lot of promotional emails, persona based emails, warranty registration emails and product launch emails. The goal for each is just to increase revenue with new and existing customers and tailor assets to meet their needs.
We selected Marketo because we are able to create and customize landing pages. It is important for us to be able to create assets from scratch, which marketo is one of the only programs to allow us to do so. It is also important for us to be able to create responsive landing pages and emails.
Marketo is a good program, but has some things to work our as one of the largest marketing automation platforms. It should be able to send emails to large lists and calculate leads quickly. Marketo should also have the ability to set priorities. It is meant to be used for marketing automation, but it works best when it is just batch and blast.
