Overall Satisfaction with Marketo

We are using Marketo across multiple departments. Demand Gen which entails getting leads on behalf of clients by promoting sponsored content such as webinars, videos, and white papers. We also use it for our ad marketing and internal sales departments as well where we promote to our audience based on client requests and also promote to MQL so that we can convert them to SQL and become a client for us. We recently started account based marketing and are utilizing Marketo to run these programs; although it isn't with the tools they provide. Marketo has been beneficial in allowing us to streamline our processes from setup and start of programs till fulfillment and end of our programs. We have also been able to make more sense of our audience as we use it as a central place to store our records.
  • Marketo support is great in that they are timely in getting back to you and resolving your issues. The ability to use live chat has been a time saver.
  • Running our web seminar programs with the use of on24 connector has been great. Our web seminars have never run better than they are currently right now.
  • Integrating with other platforms especially today is really important for our clients and us. Marketo continues to lead and improve on this front.

The goal is to increase overall results and performance of our programs beyond the traditional batch and blast process. Revenue increase is always something that is sought after in our industry. Delivering on program goals at a faster rate through better targeting and personalizing of the promotions we sent out.
Marketo is a level above both Exact Target and Lyris. Marketo is more user friendly and the need to be technically-savvy is not needed as much as it is if using Lyris and Exact Target. The interface and overall feel of Marketo wins by a lot when stacked up against the previous two products we used at our company.
Marketo is well suited when you are implementing it as a first time marketing automation tool. It is less suited when you want to have very granular permission sets. There are limitations to things that can be done that is beyond the scope of what Marketo provides. Users need to be able to recommend changes and updates.
