Overall Satisfaction with Marketo
Marketo is mainly used by the global marketing department. It is a key element for lead generation, nurturing and sending potential customers to the sales department. Due to the variety of options, we implemented a lot of marketing tools on our company website. You can easily track every user that fills in a form and comes back to your website. This way you can provide them with targeted information.
Pros
- Lead sorting, filtering, and acquisition. Marketo has a top-notch lead database that can be used for any purpose within medium to large sized companies.
- Integrated tools to enhance user experience. Marketo is integrated in many web tools. This makes it really a magnificent tool to use on your website to track users and potential customers.
- Highly customizable with many different options. There are many ways to add, modify and delete data. This makes marketo really easy to use.
Cons
- Complexity. There are many ways (like certifications) for employees to learn to use Marketo. The high complexity however makes it hard to master and this proved to be a barrier for colleagues to use the program.
- No automation. There is no way to select a big bunch of data and edit them all at once. You have to manually create a query in order to edit the data.
- Lead Management
- Prospecting / New Business
To achieve a clean database with easily indexable leads to use in the future. Data hygiene is an important factor. If you mess it up, you have to manually clean up a lot of mess. With marketo we can achieve an organized marketing future for my company. This is something worth admiring.
My company used Marketo since before I started working there.
