Overall Satisfaction with MasterControl Quality Excellence

Our company uses MasterControl Quality Excellence for its document and change control, as well as training. These modules help organize our document lifecycles, tie them in with our training requirements. We also utilize the system's change order workflow to monitor changes, collaboration, and approval requirements. The reporting tool is also used to capture data for KPIs and other metric information.

Pros

  • Application is easy to navigate.
  • Searching is very easy to do.
  • Help and training (on how to use the system) are very good.

Cons

  • Navigating from document to the change order is not intuitive.
  • Navigating to the document history is not easy nor intuitive.
  • Document controlled vaults/libraries.
  • Searching capabilities.
  • Training materials and help documentation are provided to assist new and existing users.
MasterControl has a simple Dashboard and module icons to navigate easily. It gives extensive training material that will be helpful to new users. The search ability is also excellent. However, the caveat is the ability to search on the change order, its history, tasks, etc. This part is not intuitive.

MasterControl is very good at managing document records and their lifecycle, with the option of multiple types of vaults. Because of this, the system is easy to navigate. It also makes it easier to search for items with specific criteria. The interface of the system is simple and easy. The training tools to help users figure out the system are very good.
