Overall Satisfaction with MasterControl Quality Excellence
We use MasterControl for Document management and Training. We have a number of document types and workflows to manage them. We have created multiple types of courses and leverage classes in our training module.
Pros
- The VxT tool kit probably the standout for MasterControl
Cons
- It seems to me that MasterControl struggles with database management. To often there are issues on the database side that result in document packets failing, locking, or getting stuck. In that area MasterControl seems to be behind the times.
- MasterControl customer service is often slow to respond and does not seem to have strong technical knowledge. Typically it seems like it takes a few day for your the customer service rep to respond and then they spend time working with the technical experts
- For us using only DMS/TMS the ROI has been limited. The modules we use are not complex and MasterControl is more expensive than many options on the market.
My company had MasterControl when I joined, and I have not used any other DMS/TMS
