Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Application Server
At this time the Server is being used by the Fiance Department. We use the server for our MIP and Microix Software. We are able to connect the the server as users to perform all our accounting and timekeeping duties with ease.
- I am not an IT person. The server is easy to use and is set up like you are using a normal desk top.
- Since it is able to have more than one hard drive, we can mirror our applications on a different hard drive. This will be useful in the event the current hard drive we are accessing fails.
- We have not problems with the speed of the server. Tasks are performed quickly no matter how many users are utilizing it.
- We did have an issue with the time on the server. It actually read 6 hours ahead of time upon start up. This really played havoc with our time clock. Our IT person had to write a script to correct this issue.
- Upon start up it will initially tell us there is an error, but when we bring up the report there is actually no error. Maybe this is the time thing.
- We have only been using the Current Server for about 2 years now. So I am sure we haven't had time to run into to many other issues.
- We are able to perform our accounting and timekeeping tasks in a worry free environment
- Are employees are able to do their functions quicker, therefore leaving more time to focus on our children and clients.
- We purchased the server at a great price at a time we were willing to pay just about any amount of money to purchase a new server since we the server we had previously crashed.
This server is much more efficient and easy to use. The IBM we previously had was unreliable and required a lot of maintenance time.
