Overall Satisfaction with Mimecast Email Security Cloud Integrated

we have Mimecast email security solution as our primary security layer for our emails, we integrate Mimecast with our microsoft365 service, so we are able to stop every risky email before that mails arrive to our users, Mimecast checks for the authenticity of the emails, checking even spf records, mx records, url links, attachments and some others security aspects even in outgoing emails as well as incoming emails.

Pros

Cons

  • maybe to be more flexible with users and blocking policies
  • to have better interface within ms outlook
  • increased email security, in the past we didn't had an email security solution, but now with all the protection that Mimecast brings to the company we can say that we have an excellent ROI.
because even admin and users are able to look into their emails in Mimecast without any contraints, users have an outlook pluggin which allows them to use Mimecast without login into the site, so they have a quick access to Mimecast within Outlook. They also receive notifications about the actions Mimecast is taking with their emails.
we have integrated Mimecast with our MDR solution without any issue, as so with Microsoft and other XDR solution in the past, we are able to receive all the notifications from Mimecast to our mdr team, which allows them to respond quickly to any threat detected on Mimecast, as well as i do as Mimecast administrator
we migrated from an opensource solution, which was so limited in comparison with Mimecast, and we always had issues with that solution, like policies missmatch, misconfigurations, and some others solutions for example we had mail piler for mail archiving, and we moved to Mimecast, which is a better solution which more
yes, the migration was the best decision for sure.
Mimecast by that time was the only solution which had mail security and archiving at the same time, this is the main reason why we picked Mimecast. Now it also has a module for security awareness, at that time archiving was an important requirement for us, and we got one of the best in Mimecast.

as archiving solution Mimecast it is a great option and for securing email enviroment from all the risks that email services involve, for example when we receive a infected attachment, or an spam email, Mimecast intercept them quickly, avoiding that our users to interact with that emails and mitigating that risks to the company.
