Overall Satisfaction with Motive

Motive allows us to make sure all vehicle movements are electronically logged and that the drivers are in safety compliance.
  • Tracks GPS
  • Tracks Fuel Usages
  • Managing DOT HOS
  • IFTA
  • We need to be able to add road side service repairs not just scheduled maintenance
  • I would like to be able to pull more functional reports
  • There is a button when doing query of logs for a period of time that says to export, AND IT SENDS TO THE DOT BUT DOES NOT SAY THAT IS WHAT IT WILL DO!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I have been able to track MPG accurately and see the difference between trucks in fuel consumption
  • The cameras have saved us on 3 non-fault accidents
In my experience, I have been sent wrong cables. More importantly the correct ones were not expedited as requested, waiting 3 weeks for cables that are in stock is not acceptable. I have also applied for the fuel program twice and denied with no explanations. When I started I had 2 trucks, currently have 10 and will have 20 by Oct. $22,000 a month in fuel and Motive will never see a penny of it because of the hassles. I have applied for several accounts since starting this company and we have never had an issue with credit. $4M in assets and a healthy P&L. Your loss.
Could have been outstanding if not for my last point on fuel. But I am happy with my sales rep Abraham and the service with the equipment reliability.
I have had no issues with applications errors, system problems, or equipment. The items I need have been available in a reasonable amount of time. The only exception is when I have needed the correct cables sent to me and I couldn't even offer to pay for overnight myself. Manual logs are just a headache especially when you ordered the units and received them in enough time.
My last company used Omnitracs, it was a dinosaur. The equipment was near impossible to use interchangeably between trucks and the system was very clunky.

It is a very user friendly program and I have been very happy with our purchase. We could not operate without a good ELD system. Motive from what I can tell is the best bang for your buck.
