Overall Satisfaction with MxToolBox

We use MXToolBox to track settings, changes, and problems with our own and customers' email including DNS records, DKIM, SPF, etc.

Pros

  • Check MX records
  • Verify SPF records
  • Validate DKIM and DMARC

Cons

  • Possibly add an MSP model
  • Mail server testing
  • MX record testing
  • SPF, DMARC and DKIM validation
  • On many occasions we have noticed problems and reported then to a client before they knew it was a problem. Customers really appreciate that
  • Keeps our customers coming back to us as they know we help keep an eye on their uptime and availability
This product was really too specific to MS Exchange and did not uncover many of the other issues that might be causing email issues.

Probably obvious, MSToolBox is best used to assist in managing email system related issues. Primarily in the resolution area of why you might not be receiving emails. It has also been a great asset when setting up SPF, DKIM and DMARC records and validating that they are working as they should.
