Overall Satisfaction with MYOB

We use MYOB for Payroll, AR, AP, Super, BAS across the whole business.

Pros

  • Superannuation payment fairly easy
  • BAS fairly easy

Cons

  • [In my opinion,] horrible interface to import data
  • [In my opinion,] user interface stuck in 1995
  • Needs improvement to usability
  • Contestant price increases
  • [In my opinion,] new in-app advertising is annoying
  • Countless different windows to do simple tasks like onboard an employee
  • [In my experience,] too slow
  • We get buy with it, but it should be so much better for what we pay
  • Does just enough
  • Deputy
We use deputy for timesheets, and it is much better than MYOB

[In my opinion,] it really needs a LOT of work on the usability and the interface, the number of steps to import data is a joke - and really simple things like being able to have it remember a default import isn't an option. The number of windows to onboard a new employee for example - and then you have to make sure you go in and out a few times or if it crashes you loose your work.
"Use the forums" isn't always the best support.
I would suggest they look elsewhere unless they really needed MYOB.
