Overall Satisfaction with N-able Backup (formerly Solarwinds Backup)

N-able Backup (formerly Solarwinds Backup) is being used in my organization and a lot of our customers.
it backups all the data in a secure server farm, and we can have all the certifications of it.
It backups the data quickly, doing intelligent increments and using the right amount of internet connection.
the number of copies maintained is high. Is a very good option

Pros

  • Backup database sql
  • Backup windows state
  • Backup all sort of data
  • compression of the data
  • immediate restore from remote dashboard

Cons

  • cheaper small business solution
  • translations
  • renewing the dashboard for more appeal, maybe some customers like a graphical renew. Is simptom of a even growing solution. Attention that it managers don't like but end users like!
  • Resell with OUR price
  • tons of possibilities to sell the service
  • Not all the controls are totaly automated a person must be very responsable of it, but is even necessary talking of backups!
We had a huge partner that let us discover this great service provider.
The target is the same as the other vendors, but SolarWinds wins with the dashboard. with the dashboard n-able you can monitor everything starting from the state of the backups of an important server.. arriving on a printer empty vass.
You can have control of your customer from everywhere every time.

it can script everything on your network,
it can remote control the pc's and server of your customers.
it can restore from everywhere files and databases.
it can backup quickly and compress finely every kind of data
We have an Italian support partner, they are been very good b7y the first moment.
All the partners are followed with a lot of attention, even the little ones.
there is a site where you can learn everything, the single parts of the product are described perfectly.
Every it specialist should evaluate it.
I use this backup solution in a very large and different customer park,
I backup sql databases , Batch the backup session and control it with scripts.
I backup archives of adobe reader's pdf files. I backup dozens of xls excel or word doc files and also pst's of Microsoft outlook.
Is very easy to sell this cloud service as a plus of the selling of a pc or a server. Even the software can be sold with this service bundled!
