Overall Satisfaction with NGINX Plus

Currently we are doing assessment on NGINX Plus for our centralise APIGW it acts as a single entry point for applications or system, making it easier to manage traffic, enforce policies, and improve scalability and reliability of backend service.

Pros

  • APIGW
  • Policy Enforcement
  • Centrally Manage API Traffic

Cons

  • There is no User interface
  • We are planning by using NGINX it can greatly reduce our OPEX by 50% "just our own running APIGW" the cascading effects in the long run will be much more.
The UI is not there.

Currently from what we have experience there is limited UI for APIGW. I would suggestion F5 to look into Products such as Apigee, Kong to learn about their UI
