Overall Satisfaction with Notepad++
The use of Notepad ++ is free for any of the sectors, we use a lot to see the issue of text formatting (even removing formatting), making some adjustments to web application source code or even taking notes, already Even without saving the document we can close the application and when reopening we do not lose what is written.
- Change the file charset type, ISO to UTF-8
- Check position and spacing in batch or csv files
- Bulk editing in column mode
- Search and replace multiple files with one term
- Have native access to version controllers like GIT, executing their commands inside Notepad ++ itself
- Auto save file, avoiding the need to use the save command (I miss it when I'm programming in Notepad ++)
- For programming the coloring of the language used helps visually but it would be nice to debug the application or at least the unitary texte of the file natively when choosing the language. I use it a lot to edit PHP and Python files
- Include in the language some frameworks like CakePhp or Django
- We are unable to measure the impact of this application on company ROI, it is used as a support tool for specific actions
I use Notepad ++ when I'm using Windows OS, the difference is that I can have it installed on the OS or running on a pendrive.
